We invite you to our summer home in Varpaisjarvi!
It is by a lake, 55 km (45 min drive) from Iisalmi, 55 km from Kuopio airport, with a separate sauna cottage with extra beds. Modest and cosy, ecologically equipped summerhouse with Finnish sauna, running water and washing facilities, shower, compost toilets, high speed wifi, bbq, gas grill, surveillance camera. (no dishwasher or washing machine). You can enjoy our private beach, a canoe and a rowing boat. The summerhouse lies on a very quiet and peaceful place still near the community of Varpaisjarvi.
No neighbours near, safe for kids. If you want to explore the unspoiled and beautifull nature there are several marked natural trails near us reached easily by the car. The area is very quiet rural area, shops, banks and church 2,5 km away.
If you like to go shopping or sightseeing, city of Kuopio is a great place for that. It´s only a half an hour car drive away from our summer home. Kuopio has wonderful places for shoppers and also nice places for sightseeing. Traditional white inland boats, as well as modern vessels, operate both scheduled and chartered cruises on the lake Kallavesi.

The 18-hole golf course at Tahko is located in a beautiful setting next to Lake Syväri about 20 km from our summer house. Golfers can stop for refreshments, a sauna or a meal at the club building. Tahko's speciality is Midnight Sun golf. You can play right through the bright northern night!
